Latest Updates from Our Project:

4 More Threats UNLOCKED!
about 7 years ago – Tue, Mar 28, 2017 at 08:27:45 PM

The Silrayne Threats Manual was already going to packed with many different species, races and perils, and it just got bigger! We're also a step closer to making both of our supplement books into deluxe hardcover volumes!

We've added stretch goals from here to the end of the campaign. Next up are two new maps - the Lorendi Crusader and Dendus Eternal Machine. You can see examples of some of Rich's excellent maps in the Fall of the Eos Keldor (our free starter adventure), and also on DMs Guild

We've also added some rewards: opportunities to have your likeness (or your character's) depicted as one of the archetypes of the 8 classes in Esper Genesis;  a couple more custom starships; and other ways to personalize the EG universe are still available!

Thank you from all of us here at Alligator Alley Entertainment! Esper Genesis could never have happened without your support, and we're so grateful to you, and we still need your help to spread the word about EG! The news site ICV2 published an article about this campaign today, and we encourage you to share it with as many people (and stores!) as you can.  Each of the EG books improves in quality with every backer we get!

"May the Eagle's flight ever be thine, Onward, and upward, and true to the line!"

We Hit 200 Backers!: New Rewards and Goals Added!
about 7 years ago – Mon, Mar 27, 2017 at 06:58:37 PM

We've broken the 200 backer total barrier! As a backer number goal, we've unlocked the custom Esper Genesis dice which will now be available as an add-on for purchase. If we hit 300 total backers, one of the setting's more prominent species will be converted into a playable race!

New Stretch Goals and Backer Reward

We're about two weeks away from the finish line and we're getting close to unlocking our second stretch goal. We've added a few more stretch goal rewards, including two new maps that will be made available as a free pdf or as a laminated printed product for purchase as an add-on, as well as a set of Esper Power Card Decks which will also be made available as an add-on at the end of the campaign.

In addition, we've added a new backer reward level! At the $250 Exemplar level, you get the Master Esper's Set plus have the likeness of either yourself or your character represented as one of the eight character classes. The artwork will be displayed with along with a credit in one of the core books.

We'll be doing our best to put out more cool stuff for our backers. Thank you all for supporting our project!

Until next time!

A Massive Universe: Beyond the Setting
about 7 years ago – Wed, Mar 22, 2017 at 07:29:24 PM

Although the Silrayne Arc and surrounding galaxies make up the primary setting, the main focus of Esper Genesis is to provide a fast and easy way to play a 5E based sci-fi game, period.

Much like D&D, which is adaptable to many fantasy worlds, EG is made to be expandable to many sci-fi settings as well. One of the fundamentals in building a game in which you can travel anywhere is that it really can be... anywhere.

Adventures in the Silrayne Arc and the Outer Zones

Space Adventure/Exploration - Adventures following this aspect can be placed anywhere within the arc, which is rife with alien planets, space stations, and space anomalies. Possible Inspirations: Mass Effect, Star Trek, Fifth Element, Babylon 5

Sword and Blaster / Space Opera - Same as above, particularly since some of the central planets of the Sorium Accord follow a social structure similar to an Imperial class system. Possible Inspirations: Star Wars, Phantasy Star, Guardians of the Galaxy, Farscape

Cyberpunk - Gritty, underworld sci-fi can be found on many of the more populated worlds and stations. They could be entire regions like the Metroplanet of Kal Vakari, or high-tech undergrounds like New York City's Sector 77. Possible Inspirations: Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Star Wars 1313 (unreleased video game)

Sci-Horror - Abandoned outposts, unexplored alien worlds, and experiments gone awry produce some of the most terrifying survival horror experiences. Possible Inspirations: Alien, Dead Space, Pandorum, Event Horizon

Broadening Horizons

The Master Technician's Guidebook contains some additional genre/setting material to help GMs adapt their game beyond the Core Manual, as well as provide examples of how these can be incorporated into your overall campaign. These include rules for cyborgs / A.I., advanced alien cultures, and cyberspace settings within the Silrayne Intergalactic Matrix.

After the completion of the core rules, we plan on releasing future additional conversion rules that help GMs and players create adventures in even more sci-fi genres such as Steampunk, Dystopian/Apocalyptic, and Mecha/Giant Robot Anime.

Until next time!
