Thanks so much to everyone! Despite some bandwidth-related audio issues toward the end, our first Kickstarter LIVE went really smoothly, so expect more of these in the coming months. If you missed it, you can watch the replay here.

Hardcover Books Update and Personalized Rewards

Hello, Espers!
Last night, Eric listed the breakdown of our available campaign add-ons and their prices. Today, we have more fantastic news!
Hardcovers for all Core Books at 20K
Now that we've gotten add-on quotes and prices that we feel are the best value for our backers, we're now able to tackle another important goal more efficiently.
Hardcover upgrades for the Silrayne Threats Database and the Master Technician's Guidebook can now be achieved at the $20k Stretch Goal level, which we're already well on our way to reaching.
We're aware that many of our backers would love to see all three books as hardcovers, and so do we. We look forward to producing beautiful hardbounds that will look great on their own or as a part of any 5E collection.
Our first two stretch goals have already increased both the size and quality of both of these books. We've moved the additional ship classes to $25k, which, just as all other stretch goals, are also open to unlocking post-campaign through add-on purchases and late pledges.
Make Your Mark in the Galaxy
I also want to remind everyone that there are several personalized backer reward levels that have become available since the start of the campaign. Each of these comes with the full Master Esper's Set along with a set of personalized options:
At the Exemplar level, you send us your likeness and we'll place you in one of the core books as your choice of one of the eight playable character classes. We'll also credit you in the book and send you your own personalized print.
At the World Forger level, you have the opportunity to create one of the unique, most prominent aspects of the Silrayne Arc galactic setting. We will commission the art from one of our artists based on your creation and credit you for your design.
At the Galactic Explorer level, you can be a World Forger and in addition, I will personally design a ship for you, complete with personalized art and deckplans. The ship's name, background, and lore will be permanently etched into the Esper Genesis setting.
A Champion of the Silrayne also gets everything from World Forger and I will run an exclusive game for you and your friends at one of two 2017 gaming conventions or online if you prefer. Your characters will launch the Crucible Corps Organized Play campaign and become major personalities within the story arc.

I haven’t sent any updates before now because this is Rich’s creative show. For this product line I am bringing my experience in production and line development to ensure timely delivery and top-level manufacturing. Matched with Brian’s graphic design and Rich’s vision, I’m confident that you will love the results.
We have some great news!
We have two EU-friendly options for shipping and should also have a cost-effective way to get books to the Pacific Rim, including Australia. We know shipping is a concern, but very few people should be worried about a huge inflation in cost of delivery.
As Kickstarter backers ourselves, we've felt that sting as well.
We also have great price quotes for the cost of our add-on products. Now that we have those in hand we are confident enough on our pricing to make them available today.

A Note about the Master Esper levels and above
Master Esper, for only $30 more than the Crucible Collector’s Set, includes an additional $50 worth of add-on products (the Game Masters Screen and 2 map sets) and for only $55 more than the Esper Prime level has $75 worth of upgrades (Collector’s Edition Core Manual, the Game Master’s Screen, and 2 map sets).
I highly recommend that upgrade to aspiring Game Master’s or collectors.

Heroic Lore #5: The Adept and the Veil's Edge

For the many different ways in which Sorium is harvested and utilized, the people of the Silrayne Arc have only scratched the surface of what mysteries the Crucibles may yet hold. Adepts hold an enigmatic link to the Crucibles that even the most learned of scientists cannot fully comprehend.
Forces of Will
Much like Melders, the Esper Adept is also capable of communing with the Crucibles. However, instead of using structured codes and ciphers, Adepts have more of an empathic link with the ancient structures. Through sheer focus and mastery of self, they are able to attune to and become a part of the eternal flow of cosmic energies around them.
This metaphysical connection enables the Adept to sense and effect the energies of others through various disciplines of focus. This is why they are sometimes referred to as Psions. Many of them tend to be natural telepaths and empaths.
There are different paths each one takes to achieve mastery of their gifts. Some excel at weaving waves of mental energy, becoming paragons of psychic combat. Others absorb and manipulate their energy, chaining different forms together or unleashing pulses of gravity, space, and light. They may also use their power to alter the physical and mental capabilities of themselves and others around them.
Terra Obscura
Within the Maris System, far along the edges of the Outer Zones, a strange landmass sits solitary within the vastness of the expanse. Known only as the Veil's Edge, it is often mistaken for a dim star in the distance. In reality, the outer shell is surrounded by a dim radiance, an energy field which often causes ship's sensory and life support systems to go haywire when approached.
Paths along the surface are decorated with a multitude of arches and bridges made of various different materials. Many of these interconnect and link with openings leading below the surface. The tunnels within are made of hard crystals of varied colors. Some believe the Veil's Edge to be a remnant piece of a shattered Crucible.
Any who venture within the tunnels walk a different path each time and experience visions and images which often warp and twist the minds of the wayward travelers. There are tales of beings made of pure energy which dwell within the lower depths. These amorphous creatures are said to channel powerful energies which rival that of the Espers themselves.
